After the Fox River was drained with the dam removal in Carpentersville these pipes were exposoded. Now it is estimated it will cost Carpentersville taxpayers 4 million dollars to relocate these. When attending the meetings that the Army Crops held, it was noted they would be fixing these type of problems. Seems like the Army Crops aren't actally fixing the problems created by the dam removal.
Rip Rap Rocks were placed over the pipes to protect them. Thats now a place to bottom out and damage a boat.
